The Radian® 3R® SafePlus™ has 12 upgrades from the Radian® 3R®. These include SafePlus™ side impact protection, a 12 position easy-adjust headrest, an easy fix rear-facing base, and many more.
-
Why does my Radian 3R SafePlus fold flat?
Diono® is the only car seat manufacturer to offer a folding convertible car seat. This makes it the perfect travel seat as it is so compact and folds into a handy car seat travel backpack. Saving space for trunk or home storage.
-
How much space in the car do I need to fit 3-across?
51 inches (129.5 cm) is the minimum vehicle seat width needed between door handles (or other vehicle interior structures) to fit 3 Radian® models.
-
Is the rear-facing base inlcuded?
The rear-facing base is included with all of our Radian® all-in-one convertible car seats.

How can I tell if my child is too tall for sitting rear-facing?
A rear-facing child is too tall for the seat if any of the following are true: they are 44in or taller, there is 1 1/2in or less between the top of their head and the top of the seat shell.
-
How can I tell if my child is too tall for sitting forward-facing?
When in forward-facing mode a child is too tall for the seat if they are 57 in or taller, the tops of their ears are higher than the seat shell, or their shoulders are touching the bottom of the adjustable head support at its highest position.
-
Can my child wear a thick or puffy coat when sitting in the car seat?
No. Thick clothing creates extra space between the harness and the child which is a safety hazard. We recommend removing the coat and harnessing your child in their seat. Then you can place their coat on backwards or use a blanket to keep them warm.
-

Diono car seats and boosters are tested to meet or exceed Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) per the NHTSA.
