A must have for child. Cute and effective!
I couldn’t be happier with the Whale Door Pinch Guard. I have both the pink and blue versions, and they’re equally adorable. The whale design is cute without being over-the-top, so it blends nicely into a child’s room or play area.
Most importantly, it actually works. It securely keeps doors from slamming shut, which gives me real peace of mind knowing little fingers (and curious pet paws) are protected. The guard stays firmly in place on the door and doesn’t slide off like some cheaper options I’ve tried in the past.

Cute and Simple
This is very simple to put onto the door handle and remove for home or travel. Made of soft silicone with a cute design, it helps prevent kids from slamming fingers. I like that you can leave it on the door to close it as well when needed.
Easy installation works well
This door stop works great for our 1 year olds door. Very easy to install on the door handle, we also love the fact it’s not one that you stick to the door which with others could damage the paint. The adjustable sizing feature for the handle makes it easy to install with different handle sizes and allow the stop to be gripped properly. It has already prevented little hands from getting caught in the door several times!
cute, and good but with limitations
These door stops have a great and fun whale design on them. It latches around the door handle and does the job when employed, stopping the door without damaging the door or frame. The only negative is that once your child can reach it, there is a high likelihood they will mess with it and consequently pull it downward to inactivate the safety part of it.
Cute
These are cute door latches that give the perfect depth to prevent smashed fingers. They can easily be shifted to the side when you want the door closed. They can be moved back in front of the hinge when you want it to work as designed.
Easy to use!
I like how incredibly easy it is to install! I didn’t even read the instructions. It works great against pinched fingers and looks very cute. It’s easy to move out of the way when not in use. I previously had the ones that clip at the top but they would get lost or fall to the side. These stay in place and don’t get lost when not in use.
Toddler must have
If you have a toddler the safety door latch stop is a must. Keeps the door open just enough not to smash there little fingers. My kiddos also love to play with the door stopper by turning and adjusting it. But for overall safety I will recommend to any mama of a toddler.
This door latch stopper is awesome!
Prior to having this door latch stopper we were using tape. Let me tell you what a pain that was, lol. This latch stopper has been so helpful in our home! It’s easy to install, and super easy to engage or move out of the way if you want to close the door. I will definitely recommend this to anyone with small kiddos and will buy this as a baby gift for friends in the future.
Unique concept
I will say this product was easier to install then open. I have the traditional foam door anti-slam which are not understood by many. This went on quickly and was easy to move out of the way to allow the door to fully close.
Being it’s bigger and a bit heavier it’s also noiser when the kid slams. Also, if your little one is in the “what’s this?” stage they will probably fidget and move it out of the way initially.
Overall, not a bad concept that is easy to figure out the work around.
A must need for toddler houses!
The product is a must with kids who are into slamming doors shut! It stops the door from closing all the way! It does the job it intends for but one flaw is that it is a little too cute/colorful and the kids want to touch it which then they may move it and it won’t work the intended way!
